Ferdinand Mavinga, also known as Fred Mavinga, is a former Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Fred is the CEO of Nia Media Group, Inc. and the Founder of NiaTube, Africa’s own,a Pan-African digital video-sharing platform, built to empower creators.
Fred has successfully led initiatives in the private sector. An independent Business and Technical consultant, he has leveraged his economics, financial, and analytical skills, as well as his technical track record of success, to help small businesses maximize their growth potential.
Fred holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in economics from Temple University. He is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a PhD in economics with a concentration in econometrics.
Fred is a Pan-African technologist, product strategist, and a believer in African digital sovereignty. He believes that “Every creator deserves visibility and value — no matter what country they’re in.”
This belief, among other things, was the driver that led him to develop a Pan-African platform that is one of the most powerful tools that will revitalize and operationalize Pan-Africanism in the 21st century.
